Privacy Policy

This policy covers beyondriveting.org, operated by Beyond Riveting Team Inc., a Michigan-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit ("Beyond Riveting®," "we," "us"). It applies to every page and program that lives on this site.

What we collect

We collect contact and program-interest information — the things you choose to tell us when you fill out a form. Depending on the form, that can include:

• Your name and email address
• Which program or mission you're interested in, and anything you write in a message field
• Organization or event details, if you're requesting a program or a speaker

We may collect additional information as specific programs launch web-based tools. When that happens, we'll update this policy before the tool goes live, and say plainly what the new information is and why it's needed.

Information collected automatically

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site — pages visited, general location (city or region level), device and browser type, and how you arrived. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's opt-out browser add-on, and the site will still work.

How we use it

• To answer you, and to follow up about the program you asked about
• To send updates, if you signed up for them — you can ask to stop at any time
• To plan and improve our programs and this site

We don't sell, rent, or trade your information. We don't use it for advertising, and we don't share it with other organizations for their own marketing.

Who helps us handle it

A few trusted services store or process information on our behalf, only to do the job described above:

• Netlify hosts this site and receives the forms submitted on it
• Google (Google Forms and Google Analytics) receives some contact and interest forms, and site-usage data
• Zeffy and PayPal process donations — payment details go directly to them; we never see or store your card number

We don't sell, rent, or trade donor names or information. Donation and nonprofit details are on our Legal & Transparency page.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. Links on this site to social media, our Bonfire store, or other outside sites are governed by those sites' policies, not this one.

How long we keep it

We keep contact and interest information only as long as it's useful for the reason you gave it to us, or as long as we're required to for nonprofit and donation records.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Reach us through the contact page or at 313-296-1227, and we'll take care of it personally.

Children

This site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. Material changes — especially new kinds of information collected by a program launch — will be posted before they take effect.
